Contact tags are the best way to achieve better Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Tags are labels used for contact organization. Benefits of contact tagging

- Better segmentation by classifying customers into different segments, e.g. frequent-buyer, VIP, etc
- Improved email delivery rate by directing emails to a specific audience segment based on tags
Checklist for creating tags in Conversions
- Tags can contain letters (a-z and A-Z), numbers (0-9), and hyphen (-)
- Tags cannot contain space, an ampersand (&), equals sign (=), underscore (_), apostrophe ('), dash (-), plus sign (+), comma (,), brackets (<,>), or period (.)
Create tags
- Go to Contacts > Select a contact to add tag > Edit tags
- Add tag name (e.g. frequent-buyer). Click on “Create” once you have entered the tag name
- Save changes
Add an existing tag to contacts
- Go to Contacts > Select contact to add tag(s) > Edit tags
- Select an existing tag > Save changes
Remove tags
- Go to Contacts > Select contact to remove tag(s) > Edit tags
- Click on the “X” icon beside the tag you wish to remove > Save changes
Segment newsletters based on tags
- Go to Newsletters > Select the type of emails to add tag filters > Edit settings
- Go to “Send to” section under the Settings tab > Custom segment > Edit filters
- Click on Add filter > Tags
- Select tag (s) > Save changes
