List of Email Performance Metrics

Following are the valuable performance metrics that can be viewed for all email types.

 

Data

Definition

Sent

Total number of emails sent excluding “unsubscribed“ and “bounced“ contacts.

Open rate

Total number of contacts who opened an email divided by Number of emails delivered.

Click rate

Total number of contacts who clicked on a hyperlink, CTA, or image within an email divided by Numbers of emails delivered

Purchases

Total number of contacts who purchased something from your store within 7 days after opening a delivered email and clicking on the links given.

Calculation rules:

  • The contact has clicked on a link within an email and purchased a product from the store within 7 days.
  • The email address with which the order is placed should be the same as the contact email address to whom the email was sent.
  • The purchase data will be calculated for the orders placed via the emails delivered from 4th January 2021 onwards.

Conversion rate

Total number of purchased orders divided by Numbers of emails delivered

Revenue

Total amount of purchased orders excluding the shipping charges and taxes.

Currency: Current Shopify store currency

Unsubscribed

Contacts who click unsubscribed from your send list after opening a given email.

Bounced

Contacts marked as bounced are invalid email addresses or email domains.

 

 

Where to view performance data for your email campaigns?

  1. Log in to your Automizely marketing account
  2. Go to > Emails 
  3. Open an email campaign for which you want to see the performance data
  • At the top before the individual emails, you can see all the key performance data of how well your emails are doing and the revenue generated.

  • Also, alongside each email template, all the vital performance metrics can be seen along with the email status.

4. To view the detailed report of each email for all email types, 

  • Click View > Select Report
